Now that I know what Machinima is, What the hell is Mall Cops?

Oh, Mall Cops is our very first machinima series, we wrote it ourselves and decided to act it out in The Sims 2. If it turns out to be a big enough success we may even make DVDs later, so stick around!

I'm sorry, the I am a butt act of 2008 prohibits me from telling you ALL of our secrets. I am willing to teach you the basics, but you have to take it from there.

How do you get the footage?

Easy, The Sims 2 has a camera feature built right into the software. Just hit V during gameplay to activate it, and hit V once more to deactivate it. It will record exactly what is happening in the game. It even removes the player menu for you!

Why does the quality of my video suck?

Oh... You might want to change your camera settings in options, we record in Medium quality with the sound disabled because sound simply bogs down the camera and ruins quality. But you may want to play around with it and see what looks good on your PC.

Great, now I have a bunch of footage saved on my computer, how do I make it into a movie?

With a video editing software, luckilly for you your computer came preloaded with some fairly decent video editing software (Windows Movie Maker) That is unless you are an Apple Fanboy and are using one of those Satanic Macintosh Computers, in which case I can't help you.

Great, now I have a stupid moive no one will watch, how do I fix it?
